So it's been almost 6 months and our life is incredible! In March we learned that baby #2 is on it's way!!!! We find out the gender on Wednesday!
Christian is already saying "baby" when he sees my tummy and gives my tummy a kiss! Hopefully he'll be as sweet when the real baby is here! :)
He's talking up a storm and mimicking everything we say! However, there are a few quirks:
Thomas = Pie! For some reason he will not say Thomas or any variation of the word! To him, the blue #1 train is "Pie!"
Counting to ten = 1 2 3 4 5 6 8 10! (7 and 9 don't exist!)
I love his little voice right now!!! He even mimics singing when we sing the ABCs! Such a sweetie!
His birthday theme will be trains since he is so into Thomas right now! Elmo and Thomas are superstars in our home! :)

18 months!
YIKES!!! It's been too long since I've blogged about sweet Christian! A lot of ups and downs have happened over the past 5 months. Christian lost a sweet brother or sister in November when I was about 12 weeks along. We look forward to meeting that sweet baby in Heaven and we're praying for the Lord to bless us with another baby soon. It is in His hands!
Christian has been growing smarter and smarter every day! He has a large vocabulary of signs now and loves to communicate with us! Just today within 30 minutes of picking him up at my sister-in-laws he said and signed "water" to show me the pond outside their window, "all done" and "down" to ask to get out of his seat, "cracker" to ask for a snack, "dog" to point out the lady who was walking her dog outside and more! He's also much more verbal - "pay" is what he says while he points to something of interest! "Pay" is piano, Thomas the Train, "computer" and much more! We're working with him on that!!!! :)
Words that he is a CHAMP at saying is "ball," "car," "hi," "bye," "uh-oh," "no," "mama," "dada," "mimi," "poppop," "shoe," "go," "moon," and probably more that I just can't think of off the top of my head! The next step in his development is putting words together verbally. He can sign "down, please" but we're working with him on using his words as well!!!
He loves playing outside especially with our neighbor's basketball!!! I'm so glad he's such a little boy!!!
Cars and trains have also become a big interest! Ms. Margie is his babysitter on Thursdays and her son has a large collection of cars. He fell in love with them and for Christmas he got 2 remote control cars, several Thomas the Train sets, a Fisher Price car ramp and several Matchbox cars! It's so much fun to watch him play and make the car and train noises!
We are so blessed to have such a happy, beautiful, and smart little boy!!! He's my little Prince!

13 months!
I figured I should update the blog since baby is doing so many new things!!!
First of all - SIGNING!!!
We've been working with him since he was 5-6 months old and he's really connecting with the signs! Here they are in order:
"All done" - he started doing this a month or so ago
"More" - over the past 2-3 weeks he's been a lot more consistent!
"Eat"
"Drink" - although it's more of a lip smacking sound to get us his cup!
"Baby" - he watched Baby Signing Time 4 times today and started signing baby!!!
"Milk" - so after he mimicked my sign today he made a b-line for my chest....hmmmmm - I'm still nursing when he gets up and when he goes to bed. It may be time to wean him off of one of those feedings!
Other cute hand motions:
"Blow a kiss!" He'll stick the heel of his hand in his mouth and make a smacking sound when he blows his kisses!
Pointing - he's really good and pointing to what he wants!!!
Peek-a-boo - SO CUTE!!!
He also just started really enjoying the pool! Mimi took him to the apartment pool today and he was fearless!
He'll be walking any day. He's standing on his own and even bounces to the beat of music without holding on to anything! Watch out world!!! Christian is coming to get you!!!

1 Year!!!!
Wow! I can't believe the year has passed! What an incredible experience!!! We have had so much joy in our lives with little Christian and I couldn't imagine life without his beautiful smile and disposition!
A cloud of sadness does hang over our family with the passing of my grandma on Monday night. She was such an amazing woman and I was really close to her - her "Angel Girl" as she always called me! I know she's with the angels now in heaven and enjoying the peace and comfort in the arms of Grandpa Walt and the Lord! What a reunion it must have been! I look forward to seeing her again! I love you grandma!

Although it was bittersweet, we still enjoyed the birthday party for Christian on Tuesday night with family and friends! Christian is blessed to have so many loving relatives and friends surrounding him!
From birthdayparty |
On the actual day of his birthday we went to Portrait Innovations for a picture session and then to the zoo! Although he loved seeing the animals he was more entranced with the trucks in the construction area! I can't wait to go back and see the flamingo exhibit that they are working on! I wonder if he'll like flamingos as much as he likes penguins!

Only 3 more weeks until I have to head back to school!!! I can't believe the time has gone so quickly! Here is a slideshow of his party and the slideshow of his portrait session is at the beginning of this blog!

The cuteness that is Christian Goss!
It's been another month since a blog post! Shame on me!!!! Here's a quick list of all the cute things that Christian does!!!
#1 - his cheesy toothy smile!!! It's even better with a scrunchy nose!!!
#2 - his kisses! He lunges forward with an open mouth to plant one on anyone who asks! Nick blew a kiss to Christian today and he copied the movement so I think blowing kisses will be the next cute thing!
#3 - pulling himself to standing position - his favorite spot is the door to the deck so he can watch what goes on outside! I love it when his little legs bounce when he's excited!
#4 - sitting on his knees when he's tired of standing! He looks like a little boy!
#5 - smacking his lips when something is yummy!
#6 - making "ttthhhzzz" sounds or blowing raspberries!
#7 - waking up all smiles! I LOVE cuddling when he's waking up or falling asleep! The only problem is his tendency to find moles/freckles/eyeballs/etc. to explore with his fingers while he's trying to fall asleep! ouch!
We had a really fun time in Idaho earlier this month! He loved playing with his cousins and meeting all the family out there! It was such a blessing to be able to go to Yellowstone as well! We saw some great animals and beautiful scenery!
His 1st birthday is coming up soon! I mailed out invitations (if you didn't get one and you want to come you are more than welcome!!!) I also finished a new outfit that he'll wear for the party! It matches his hat and bib for the occasion! He'll be so cute!
Ryley's birthday party is this Saturday and I'm working on a dress for her present! I've got to finish that project AND finish painting the living room all this week! I'm going to be a busy girl!!!
