On the last day of school the baby went with me so all the kids could see him! He was the star of the show during our Holiday Singalong!!!
After school we went to the Opryland hotel to hang out with mom's friend Suze!

On Saturday he went to his first Nutcracker performance!!! He did so well! The first 20 minutes we missed because it was time to eat. After his belly was full he loved watching (and sleeping)!

December (so far!)

My birthday was December 1st and I had a wonderful surprise evening! Nick and I went to the Melting Pot for dinner where our table was set with a beautiful bouquet and card just for me!!!

Dinner was awesome and I THOUGHT we were going to the Rockette's show just the two of us.........but I was surprised to see the Baby, Mom, Dad, Grandma, Robbie and Jen there too!!!! It was the best birthday present!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

What an awesome year! I have so much to be thankful for - Christian being the BIGGEST gift of them all!!! He is such a blessing! I am in awe every time I think about his development and how he continues to grow! I've mentioned it before, but his sleeping habits astound me! I never had to train him or work with him on sleeping through the night. As soon as I went back to school I started having him sleep in his crib and he is the happiest little baby at bed time! He eats around 6:30 or 7:00 and falls asleep around 30 minutes to an hour after he eats. All he needs is for mommy to tuck him in nice and tight (kind of like a swaddle) and give him his paci. He rolls his head to the side, sighs and peacefully closes his eyes while I pat his chest. In 2 minutes or less he's out! I am so blessed! And he doesn't wake up until 5:30-6:00am! Occasionally he'll wake up and cry for a bit - it's usually remedied by the paci and comforting pats. I think only twice since I've been back to school has it been a hungry cry that needed a midnight feeding.
He is laughing and talking so much more! It is the cutest!

Fall and 4 month check up!

I had fun with a photoshoot on Sunday!!! We had a lot of fun over the weekend - hiking, shopping, gardening, sleeping....I wish the weekend was more than 2 days!!!

On Wednesday we went to the doctors - 16lbs11oz and 27 1/4 inches long! That's 98% in height and 85% in weight!!!
To celebrate, we went to the Nashville Zoo!!! So much fun!!!

Halloween!

I just realized I hadn't blogged about our day on Halloween!

We went to the Pumpkinfest in downtown Franklin and met up with Jody, Roxy and Ryley! There was so much to see and do! We participated in our first costume contest - he was the cutest pirate but we didn't take home any prizes!

Hanging out with Jody, Roxy and Ryley was fun!!! We can't wait until Ryley and Christian are big enough for all of the cool kid activities!

This week was the first week for me to go back to work! Christian has been amazing for Mimi and Daddy! Although I'm tired, I have enjoyed the routine and schedule of working and being a mommy! I think everything will be ok!

The past two nights have been amazing!!! Christian has slept in his crib the whole night without needing a feeding. He did wake up twice with some little cries that were easily remedied by inserting the paci! :)
9:30pm-5:00am yesterday 10:00pm-8:00am today! Yay! I look forward to seeing the trend continue!

We had fun a few days ago at Fall Creek Falls! Natalie and I had fun at Fall Creek Falls! Christian loves to hike! Carrying a baby is such a great conversation starter! Natalie and I both commented on how nice the south is compared to other areas of the country. Some places people would avoid eye contact - it's nice to live somewhere where people enjoy engaging in conversation!
